About Amal
Amal Meftah is pursuing her Master’s degree in Social Work at Aurora University. Amal has an Early Childhood Associate’s degree from Elgin Community College, an Associate’s degree in Arts from College of Dupage, and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from National Louis University. She was a preschool teacher/child educator for over 17 years in both Illinois and Colorado. Amal has worked as a case manager in a domestic violence shelter, in the Healthy Families program supporting first time moms and their babies, at a program supporting the elderly and their families, and at an agency that supports individuals with disabilities. When not working, Amal enjoys going to museums, walking and hiking in nature, visiting farms, doing artwork, gardening, wall climbing, and taking road trips to new places. She lives by the mantra “always be yourself and have faith in yourself.”
