About Vanessa
Vanessa Lambrecht is interning with Alder Grove while she completes a master’s degree in clinical psychology at Benedictine University. She holds a B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her clinical experience has been primarily in private practice, working with children, teens, and emerging adults, but she works with all ages. She believes therapy is a collaborative effort to get you where you need to be. While working with her, you will experience a client-centered approach influenced by cognitive behavioral practices and mindfulness techniques. In her free time, Vanessa loves to make art, listen to music, and explore the outdoors with her family and dogs. She enjoys reading all genres and is keenly interested in illustrated books such as children’s books, graphic novels, and zines. A favorite quote of hers is from Fred Rogers: When we talk about our feelings, they become less upsetting and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.
