Dialectical Behavior Therapy

The main goals of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is for clients to learn to cope with stress, regulate emotions, and improve relationships with others. Mindfulness is one skill taught as part of DBT. DBT can be an effective treatment for many mental health issues such as ADHD, OCD, self-injury, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), substance abuse disorders, eating disorders, trauma or PTSD.
