Angela Erickson

Angela Erickson earned a bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education from Illinois State University and an MSW from Aurora University. She holds a Professional Educator’s License in Illinois for grades K-8. She specializes in supporting kids, tweens, teens, and young adults as they navigate friendships, relationships, and identity formation. Angela excels in helping individuals respond to emotions healthily and develop positive self-thoughts and body image.
Angela completed internships at Alder Crove Counseling and Family Service Agency, where she provided individual counseling, facilitated social-emotional small groups, and integrated cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic principles into her practice. Angela believes in a holistic counseling approach, combining cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic frameworks to understand clients’ thoughts and behaviors fully. She incorporates active listening, empathy, and humor into sessions, fostering a client-focused, judgment-free therapeutic environment where growth thrives.
Outside of counseling, Angela treasures time with her supportive husband, three beautiful daughters, and cherished friends and family. She enjoys outdoor exploration, music discovery, podcasts, karaoke, organizing, beach visits, and trying to be a morning person. Angela’s favorite quote, “You belong somewhere you feel free,” reflects her belief in creating spaces for authentic self-expression. And fun fact: Angela has an intense love for green olives!
