Gina Hines is the founder of Alder Grove Counseling and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families. Alder Grove Counseling was born from Gina’s vision to create an inclusive, client-centered practice where people of all identities and backgrounds feel seen, heard, and supported. It was also important to her to create a workplace that offered work-life balance for therapists. Gina is proud to lead a team of like-minded therapists who share her passion for affirming, relational care.
Gina specializes in working with neurodivergent individuals including autistic clients, ADHDers and those who identify as Highly Sensitive Persons. She is also passionate about raising awareness about Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and supporting PDA families. Her approach is grounded in neurodiversity-affirming care so that clients can feel comfortable unmasking.
Additionally, Gina has extensive training as a trauma therapist. She brings EMDR into her work with compassion and flexibility, always honoring each client’s unique pace and needs. She brings a warm, authentic presence to her work and is deeply committed to walking alongside clients as they heal, grow, and reconnect with who they truly are.
When not working, Gina loves snuggling with her dog, stargazing, reading and writing fiction, and traveling.
