Hannah Craig is a dedicated therapist specializing in supporting tweens, teens, and young adults at Alder Grove Counseling. With a BA in Psychology from Wheaton College and an MSW from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Hannah brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice. Much of Hannah's expertise comes from her experience as a school social worker as well as working in an eating disorder program.
Hannah focuses on a variety of issues including emotion recognition and management, social skills, friendship concerns, self-esteem, and identity development. She also has experience working clients with eating disorders, anxiety, and depression. She employs a range of therapeutic approaches, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). A firm believer in equitable mental health services, Hannah strives to ensure that every individual feels heard and valued.
Outside of her professional life, Hannah enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and pets, indulging in copious amounts of coffee, exploring fiber arts, and prioritizing self-care. Her favorite quote, “You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think,” by Christopher Robin, reflects her commitment to empowering her clients on their journey to well-being.
