Keely Davis
Clinical Intern
Keely Davis is a Master of Social Work intern at Alder Grove Counseling. She enjoys supporting young kids, tweens, teens, and young adults. Keely earned her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from Southern New Hampshire University, where she developed a strong foundation in understanding culture, history, and the ways social systems shape individual experiences. She is currently completing her MSW at Aurora University. Her background in anthropology informs her clinical perspective, allowing her to approach each client with curiosity, cultural awareness, and an appreciation for the broader contexts that influence mental health.
Keely is gaining specialization in working with neurodivergent individuals. She also works with a wide range of clinical concerns, including anxiety, depressed mood, anger, self-esteem, social and friendship issues, and challenges at school or work.
Her work is guided by psychosocial theory, strengths-based and systems approaches, solution-focused strategies, and somatic perspectives. Keely values a collaborative therapeutic process and believes meaningful change happens when clients feel empowered, supported, and actively involved in their care. One of her guiding principles is to always lead with kindness, inspired by her favorite quote: “Be curious, not judgmental.”
Outside of her professional role, Keely identifies as a daughter, sister, aunt, and partner. When she’s not working or completing schoolwork, she enjoys going to the movies, kayaking, skiing, and cheering on the Chicago Bears on Sundays.
