Olivia LaVallie is a Licensed Professional Counselor who brings compassion, creativity, and a holistic approach to her work with clients. She specializes in supporting neurodivergent children, adolescents, and young adults through life’s challenges using evidence-based, mindfulness-based, and experiential practices. Olivia is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and flexible environment where clients can build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and experience personal growth.

Olivia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Concordia University Chicago, where she also minored in Women and Gender Studies and Sociology. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Northern Illinois University.

Her clinical experience includes work in individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, program development at 360 Youth Services in Naperville, and youth leadership and community engagement programming at the Alive Center. Olivia has extensive experience supporting concerns such as anxiety, depression, academic and social stressors, executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation, trauma, identity development, self-esteem, and family communication—particularly during school and life transitions.

Olivia’s approach is primarily client-centered, and she integrates creative, experiential modalities such as art, movement, music, and play-based interventions. As a certified yoga instructor, she incorporates yoga-informed counseling techniques to support the mind-body connection. She also draws from DBT, strengths-based, and trauma-informed frameworks to tailor care to each client’s unique needs. Olivia is passionate about making therapy engaging, accessible, and deeply affirming, meeting each client exactly where they are. One of her favorite guiding quotes comes from Carl Rogers: “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”

Outside of her clinical work, Olivia loves reading, practicing yoga, and playing frisbee with her dog.
