Stacey Patterson, LCPC, MT-BC is the education director and a therapist. She has a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from the University of Dayton and a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Xavier University. She works with clients aged three years old and up. She has worked as a therapist at a therapeutic day school, a trauma-focused, therapeutic interagency preschool, a community mental health agency, and hospice, and she has provided home-based support and therapy for people with developmental and neurological disabilities. She has specialized training in perinatal mental health and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy for young children.
Stacey’s clinical work incorporates a variety of approaches and theories, but she is most aligned with dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). She has a strong connection with the creative arts (music, art, writing, dance, and drama) and draws from all of these in her therapy. Personally and professionally, she is most guided by Rainer Maria Rilke’s idea of “living the questions.” When not working, Stacey likes to be out in nature, hiking, kayaking, backpacking, camping, and gardening, and to spend time with her family, friends, and dog.
